Hi...
I decide to study WinX library...and WOW.
I found it very complex and very interesting , it is almost new programming language
developed in xBlite...excellent work really !

So i want clear some things before i procede with winX.

1.WinX source code is code of WinX.dll and must be compiled as Library(.DLL) , right?
2.Is there a way that can be compiled like standalone exe as some sort of
runtime interpreter maybe ?
3.If is ,how to that .
4.what is your expirience with this Librarry?

thanks advance...

WinX is library of functions which provides another way to create GUI windows and to handle their messages
and callbacks. Think of it as a short cut method for creating and handling windows events. So no, it cannot
be used as a standalone executable or interpreter. Guy has used it quite a bit and would know more about
how to use it.

Hi Vidlanovic,

Sorry for kicking in so late.
No experience in using WinX.dll with an other compiler than XBLite. But I don't see why it would not be possible.

WinX.dll is a Windowing libary written by Callum Lowcay in XBLIte and distributed under the LGPL.
It can be called from program written in any language that produces a MASM-like compiled source.
Witout having tried it, I would assume that it works for GNU C/C++, Pelles C, other BASIC dialects (Aurel Basic,...)

I do use WnX for all my XBLite developments, as opposed to GTK+ for example.
I like its convenience because it's just a thin layer on top of the WinAPI.

Bye! Guy
