Rhett Thompson's IDE for XBLite

I made some evolutions but it's far from being functional. However, there are some ideas that I'll borrow for viXen version 2.

ConvEuroDollar: my very first XBLite GUI application.

ConvEuroDollar converts an entered amount from euros to dollars, displays and stores in the clipboard the converted amount.

This program illustrates a "guided" entry of decimal inputs. In order to get rid of invalid characters, the #edtEuros control is subclassed; this means that #edtEuros will use the edtEuros_CallBack() procedure before using its default control procedure:
- Entries like "--" "++" "1+" "1.." or "1.2." are impossible.
- Accepted is "-1.23" or "+2.34".

Hi TestXB,

In fact, XBLite Designer is a work in progress that started Rhett Thompson. I reactivated and it's not yet functionnal.
That's why it works primarily under XSEd, but if you copy XbDesigner.exe in say C/\xblite\programs (XBLite's program directory), it will pick up, at execution time, all the necessary DLLs.

But stay tune: I'm really working on XbDesigner's completion.

Bye! Guy

Dont worry i will visit from time to time XBlite forum ....
belive or not i still dont made any program in XBlite ...
probably becose im to used with my own programming language.
From some aspects i will consider to use XBlite as free compiler and maby
(currently just maby....) to switch my development from currently campiler which i
use to XBlite.
I will try also if i catch some time to build my own editor for XBlite.
I know that XSed by Jose Roca is very good but i prefer my own stuff...
ok we will see...

XblCockpit: an application launcher, entirely written in XBLite.

I use this app all the time. Since I start it at boot time, it's the first application I use. I can reopen the latest project I worked on and I find it convenient to take off where I left earlier. Works nicely for me as I taylored it to my taste.

I coded a group editor and a launch pad editor for added comfort.

I started to use XbGrid and I finalized the port from C to XBLite.
It can be found in directory .\xblite\demo\custctls\xbgrid and I find it better suited for data entry than the listview control.

I made someexperimentation on the binary search; here it is: BinSearchX_v1_03.zip, which contains:
- BinSearchX.x is a dll that contains FUNCTION BsxSearch (find$, @sorted$[]), a binary search;
- BinSearchGui.x is the corresponding demo GUI app,
- BinSearchGui_gen.vxn, the viXen project.

Enjoy! Guy

A template manager for XSed

Attached is xxxman_1_02.7z, which contains:
1. xxxman_setup_v1_02.exe: the install
2. xxxman_gen.vxn: the viXen project, rename to prevent an overwrite of xxxman.x
3. xxxman.x and the associated files: xxxman.ico, xxxman.rc, ...

I enhanced WinX.x to allow this project to work, so you have to download the last version from
http://code.google.com/p/xbl-winx/

I welcome any comment that would help me to improve, so please try xxxman and don't hold your comments.

Bye Guy

This is the entire XBLite project to re-build trace,
a GUI application that I wrote to log the execution of functions in an XBLite program.

trace_v1_12.zip contains trace.x version 1.12 as of 15 August 2012.
You have everything you need to build trace.exe in your xblite environment:
- trace.x
- trace.rc
- trace.manifest

trace_gen.vxn is the corresponding viXen project.

How to compile trace.exe:
1. Open trace.x with XSed
2. Un-check Command Line Options/m4 and click button OK
3. Compile trace.x as a .dll with Shift+F9
4. Link trace.obj into trace.dll with F10
5. Select menu option Options/Compiler...
6. Check Makefile Options/clean and click button OK
7. Press F10 to copy:
- trace.dec in C:\xblite\include
- trace.lib in C:\xblite\lib
- trace.dll in C:\xblite\programs

This GUI app uses WinX.dll, which you must install before:
1; Download WinX_0_6_0_15_setup.zip here
2. Unzip it in a temporary folder
3. Run setupWinXLib.bat => it will install all the necessary files.

If you want to rebuild from the sources, download
- adt_0_2_sources.zip
- WinX_0_6_0_15_sources.zip
and run MakeADTLib.bat followed by MakeWinXLib.bat.

Enjoy! Guy, 15 August 2012

PS. If you go to all the trouble to install WinX.dll from its sources, please let me know how this procedure worked or you, especially if it needs improvements.

This is the entire XBLite project to re-build SortSource,
a GUI application that I wrote to sort the functions of an XBLite program source.

SortSource_v2_12.zip contains SortSource.x version 2.12 as of 15 August 2012.

1. Open SortSource.x with XSed
2. Un-check Command Line Options/m4 and click button OK
3. Compile SortSource.x as a .dll with Shift+F9

This is the entire XBLite project to re-build Callum lowcay's Data Type library.

adt_0_2_sources.zip contains adt.x version 0.2 as of 29 August 2012.
You have everything you need to rebuild adt.dll in your xblite environment:
- accessors.m4
- adt.x
- adt.mak

This setup is automated by MakeADTLib.bat (provided):
- Don't forget to correct string "C:\" in batch files MakeADTLib.bat to your settings before using it to create adt.dll and all related objects.
- Run MakeADTLib.bat to build all the objects necessary for using adt.dll in your developments in XBLite

Enjoy! Guy, 29 August 2012

PS: adt_static.x is provided in case you don't want to use the m4 preprocessor

How to compile without m4 preprocessor:
1. Copy adt_static.x replacing adt.x
2. Open adt.x with XSed
3. Un-check Command Line Options/m4 and click button OK
4. Compile adt.x as a .dll with Shift+F9
5. Link adt.obj into adt.dll with F10
6. Select menu option Options/Compiler...
7. Check Makefile Options/clean and click button OK
8. Press F10 to copy:

- adt.lib in C:\xblite\lib
- adt.dll in C:\xblite\programs

This is the entire XBLite project to re-build Callum lowcay's Windowing library WinX.dll.

WinX.dll: The GUI library for XBlite, finely crafted by Callum Lowcay.
Unless you're addicted to the Windows API, you'll like this programming gem that wraps most of the useful APIs with a convenient interface.
viXen generates a GUI skeleton in WinX as good as the native API skeleton. Saying that viXen version 2 will use WinX, I rest my case...
